About Me

Hi, I'm Connor Harper, a photographer and visual designer based in Hertfordshire with a passion for fashion photography, editorial design and digital image-making.

My creative journey hasn't followed a traditional path. After living in France for five years, I returned to the UK and began developing my photography independently alongside working professionally within the industry. Over the past three years, I've gained experience as a photographer, editor and videographer while continuously building my own creative practice through personal projects. These experiences have taught me not only the technical aspects of photography but also the importance of collaboration, adaptability and visual storytelling.

Fashion photography appeals to me because it extends beyond documenting clothing. It is a medium for expressing identity, emotion and atmosphere through light, styling, composition and design. My work often combines photography with graphic design, drawing inspiration from luxury branding, magazine editorials and contemporary visual culture. I enjoy experimenting with typography, colour and post-production to transform portraits into complete editorial narratives rather than standalone images.

Much of my recent work has involved teaching myself new techniques, from building a home studio to directing and photographing portraits. Working as both photographer and model has challenged me to better understand lighting, posing and visual direction, while allowing me to experiment freely with ideas and develop a style that feels increasingly personal. I present my work under the name TagcStudio, a creative identity that reflects my ambition to build more than just a photography portfolio. It represents an evolving body of work where photography serves as the foundation for exploring graphic design, editorial storytelling and, in the future, other forms of visual art. Rather than being tied to a single discipline, TagcStudio is intended to grow alongside my practice as I continue to experiment, learn and create.

Outside of photography, I enjoy fashion, graphic design, the gym, cars, gaming, music and sport. These interests often influence the aesthetics and themes within my work, helping me create imagery that reflects my personality and creative curiosity. Having ADHD has also shaped the way I approach creativity. I have always had an active imagination, and photography has become the way I can transform those ideas into something tangible. What once existed only in my head can now be explored through images, editing and visual storytelling.

I'm still discovering my creative voice, but each project brings me closer to defining it. My ambition is to continue developing as an editorial fashion photographer, creating work that blends photography, design and imagination into images that are both visually striking and conceptually driven.
